My Man of the Year Award

Vision

Moms in Business Unite plans to honor an extraordinary man that has supported a working mother to pursue her entrepreneurial endeavors. Does this sound like your man? The My Man of the Year Award recognizes a man who truly makes a difference in a working mom’s life through inspiration, support, and a proactive willingness to be an equal partner. Candidates for the award are men who consistently help working moms be better moms; better business women; and ultimately happier, healthier role models for their children. The winner will be awarded at the Moms in Business Unite Conference reception on September 15, 2010 at the USD Joan Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice.

Candidates

Are you a working mom supported by a man who has made a real difference in your family's life? Does this man fit most of the following criteria? If yes, he deserves a nomination for the 2010 MIBU My Man of the Year Award. The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates perspective and truly appreciates the challenges you face as a mom business owner
  • Contributes to running the household, raising the family, identifying and planning enriching experiences for each member of the family, etc.
  • Encourages you to grow and succeed, and is open, and willing to invest in his own personal enlightenment
  • Invests proactively in the proper development of all of the children in the family (whether or not they are his natural children)
  • Communicates his needs clearly and takes a strong interest in supporting your needs

Rules

  • You must register to attend the Moms in Business Unite Conference to be eligible to submit a candidate for consideration
  • Candidates must be a man in your life excluding blood relatives (father, brother, etc.)
  • Nominations will only be accepted from working moms
  • Only one submission will be accepted per person
  • Former recipients of the MIBU My Man of the Year Award are not eligible
  • Award recipient must be present at reception to win (September 15, 2010, 5-7 p.m.)
  • Submission deadline: July 31st, 2010. Late submissions will not be considered.

Please complete and send the following form and questions to info@momsinbusinessunite.com by July 31st, 2010.

Note: Nominations will only be accepted from working moms and only one submission will be accepted per person.

Winner

One winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at the Moms in Business Unite Conference on
September 15, 2010. The recipient of the award will be presented at the reception following the conference.
