Best New Product or Service of the Year (Inventor Showcase)

Vision

Are you a women business owner with a stellar invention? Moms in Business Unite is inviting local women inventors to showcase their new products or services at each of our conferences. We'll give you an opportunity to display your idea and then allow conference attendees to select the best new product or service of the year. We want to help your dream come true! The winners will be announced at the event and in a post-conference press release and will be featured on the Moms in Business Unite website for a year.

Candidates

Are you a successful women business owner looking to achieve recognition for your invention? Does your invention stand out among the rest? If you meet the following criteria, please apply for the MIBU Inventor Showcase (available for all cities):

• You must be a woman business owner.
• You must have recently entered the market with your product/service (anytime after January 1, 2010).
• You must be located within 250 miles of your city's conference.
• Your invention must offer an innovative product or service that differentiates you from your competitors.
• You must be registered to attend your local Moms in Business Unite Conference.

Rules

• Only one submission will be accepted per company.
• Each selected inventor must be present and able to exhibit at the Moms in Business Unite Conference. Award recipient must be present to win.
• Former selected MIBU Inventor Showcase participants are not eligible.

  • Atlanta: April 29, 2011
  • San Diego & Boston: June 30, 2011
  • Denver & Detroit: August 15, 2011
  • Late submissions will not be considered.

Submission Questions

Please be ready to answer the following questions with specific answers and examples:

1. Provide a company overview.
2. What is your new product or service?
3. When did you bring your product/service to the market?
4. What makes your new product or service unique?
5. How does your new product or service provide value to your customers?
6. What type of results have you had marketing your product/service?
7. Why do you believe you should be considered for the 2011 MIBU Inventor Showcase?

Selected inventors will have an exhibit table at the Moms in Business Unite Conference at the reduced price of $50 each ($350+ value).  This covers one person exhibiting at your table. Additional guests can purchase exhibitor / reception tickets for $49 each.
• Exhibitor Table for winners to show off your product/services, perform marketplace research, introduce your inventor to attendees, sponsors and speakers at your conference.
• Selected inventors can purchase an Ad in our Educational Roadmap at a 20% discount.

Winners

The winners will be selected by the conference attendees and announced during the event. Additionally, they'll be featured in a post-conference press release and on the Moms in Business Unite website for a year.
